Phil Zimmerman – there but for the grace of God

No time for a long post today. Just a quick thought.

Phil Zimmerman,  comedian and pigoen impersonator, ruffled a few feathers (OK OK, it’s late at night and I’m tired…), when he started pecking rather too agressively in the direction of Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden. See the story here.

But then lets face it which of us hasn’t, late at night after one too many cheap lagers decided to dress up as a verminous bird and terrorise Amanda Holden. It’s just that the rest of us don’t have the balls to do it on national TV. For that reason if no other Phil Zimmerman’s performance is to be cherished.

And despite all the producer’s  precautions, something interesting happened on BGT. Well done, Phil. Have some birdseed on us.

Although given all the publicity this is getting Phil may well be having the last laugh at the expense of the decadent celebrity culture which has no place for him.

PS Check out this old review of Phil on Chortle.
